Bud and Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant is Hiring a Barback Near Santa Rosa, FL

Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in the heart of Seaside, Florida, Bud & Alley’s has been a popular gathering place since 1986 for good food, good people, good times. A pioneer of the fish- and farm-to-table food movement, the award-winning menu features Gulf coast classics paired with Southern-style cuisine. The sunset celebrations on the rooftop bar overlooking the Gulf have been hallmark traditions for nearly 30 years. Lunch and dinner are served daily in gracious indoor and outdoor dining areas and on the rooftop overlooking the Gulf.

This is a junior role for someone who wants to work as a bartender or even bar manager in the future. Barbacks usually undertake a supportive role and assist the more experienced bar staff before they're able to take orders, serve customers, and mix drinks without supervision.

Barbacks work behind-the-scenes to support bartenders and servers during their shift. They also assist with bar opening and closing procedures.

Barback responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the set-up and breakdown of the bar
  • Polish and distribute glassware throughout shift
  • Replace beer, beer kegs, wine, and liquor stock throughout shift
  • Stock fruit juices, drink garnishes, and ingredients throughout shift
  • Replace juices, ingredients, and cups at each well as needed
  • Refill bar wells with ice frequently
  • Bus the bar top as needed
  • Welcome bar guests with menus and waters

Job brief

We are looking for a Barback to support our Bartenders and the rest of our staff. You’ll assist with bar opening and closing procedures and perform various behind-the-bar tasks, such as restocking the bar, bussing the bar top, and welcoming guests with menus and waters.

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
